Trey and Cayla’s Flagstone Farm Wedding was one for the books. Living in Alabama, you never know what the weather is going to do. The forecast said it was supposed to thunderstorm all day and everyone was a little nervous about how the day would turn out, especially since Tornado warnings had been issued throughout the day. We had to endure some rain and clouds and really cold weather, BUT we also got some sunshine and were able to get some really pretty shots outside before the day was over! Right before their ceremony in the open air chapel, the clouds parted and the sun came out. It was literally out for the time of the ceremony and some gorgeous sunset photos post ceremony and then the weather got crazy again! There were lot of prayers answered that day! Trey and Cayla stayed positive during the day and enjoyed each moment regardless of the weather forecast. The celebrated with their friends and family and danced the night away. We had so much fun getting to capture their wedding day and loved all the beautiful details of their big day!
Congratulations, you two!!

Charles and Lexi’s River Market Wedding was so beautiful! I thoroughly enjoyed getting to capture their big day. Below is a bit about their love story in Lexi’s words.
“One time (circa 2016) I invited Charles to Loosa for standup comedy on a Sunday evening…..so yes, I asked Charles out on our first date. Unfortunately he denied the offer. His loss, right?
Over the next two years, I pretty much just lived my life. I would find myself interested, then not at all, then interested again. Regardless, I will forever praise God that he said no that one time. Because those two years were the sweetest time of friendship and getting to know each other in “normal life” rather than in “dating life”.
Charles and I hung out often as we found ourselves in the same friend group through Trinity Presbyterian Church in Tuscaloosa. He always made me laugh and I always enjoyed when he was around. Our friendship formed through Tuscaloosa activities, trips across the country, community groups, supper clubs, and training for a half marathon or two.
Speaking of half marathons….the most formative part of our friendship was (and still is!) running at the river walk together. We wouldn’t just go on runs together. We would run, then that turned into running, plus a short walk + talk afterwards. Then that slowly turned into running, walking, talking, and grabbing coffee together. We both ran more when we weren’t really dating than we do now, tbh.
Fast forward to January 2018. We went with a group of friends to New Orleans for the National Championship game. At that point, there was no doubt in my mind this guy was something neat. When we got back in town, I asked him to eat dinner at Hooligan’s with me. So yes, I asked him on our second first date (I know it was a date because he paid). He was kind, gracious, thoughtful, and fun.
By the grace of God, just two days later, he told me we needed to have “an awkward conversation” at Loosa (please note: we’ve come full circle). He was kind, gracious, and thoughtful. He told me he wanted to take me on a date. I played it cool but let’s be real I was thrilled
Eventually we went on our third first date. ……And here we are today!”
Charles and Lexi have a really sweet, fun love story! Congratulations, you two! We wish you the happiest marriage!
