Ok, sappy post alert. As you all know, my AH-MAZING studio manager, Christin, is pregnant. I’ve known Christin for years, since she was a kid. I met Austin in the last year, and they have quickly become close friends! Christin has made my life and my job so much easier since our JMP Weddings journey began. She does so much behind the scenes that people never see, and I’m beyond thankful!
I got the wonderful opportunity to photograph Christin’s maternity session recently. She wanted to do something in their house. They have the perfect setting for an in home session so I told her, “absolutely yes!” All the natural colors, creams, and whites! I was so pleased at how their session turned out. Since she’s on my team, and typically puts my blogs together, I asked her to pick out her favorite photos so I could write a blog about her session.
I can’t WAIT for baby Rhodes to be here. Christin and Austin are amazing humans, and I know they are going to be such amazing parents. Baby Rhodes has been prayed for so much and already has more clothes than me. Just kidding. 🙂 Only a couple of weeks to go, and we are all anxiously waiting! Until then, enjoy their maternity session! ❤️
Michael and Caroline’s Tuscaloosa Wedding was at First United Methodist Church downtown. A Tuscaloosa trolley shuttled Michael and Caroline and their wedding party back to The University Club for their reception. It was a fun day, and even though it rained ALL day, the rain didn’t dampen any spirits. We had such a great time and I am so glad I got to be part of their journey! Here is a little bit about their love story in Caroline’s words.
“Michael and I met on E-harmony. Our first date was at Alcove in Tuscaloosa. We talked for hours, and I asked him if he wanted my number as we were leaving. We both knew within a month that we were meant to be together. We that we both really value communication and being open, and we haven’t left many topics uncovered. Michael proposed at Oak Mountain State Park, my favorite trail (Maggie’s Glen).
The thing I love most about the two of us is that we have so much in common, want the same things in life, and we take care of each other. Spending time with our families is a priority for both of us.
The things we love doing together the most is Michael and I both love to learn new things and explore new places. We visit caves and museums and enjoy going to touristy places. Binge watching shows on the sofa with Michael, our three dogs, and my electric blanket is my favorite thing to do after work. We’re both really close to our family and spending time with them is always priority. We also love being outside whether it’s sitting on the porch drinking coffee, hanging out at the pool, hiking on trails around Birmingham, or working in the yard/garden.”
Michael and Caroline are such a fun-loving couple with a unique, beautiful love story. There wedding day was such a fun one to be a part of. Congratulations, you two!
